Orla is a Special Counsel in the Sydney Restructuring and Insolvency team. She has acted in many of Australia's most significant and high profile corporate insolvency and restructuring matters over the past 10 years. She has had conduct of restructuring, insolvency and commercial matters on behalf of financiers, private equity interests, corporate insolvency practitioners, government departments, corporations and individuals.
Admitted in three jurisdictions, Orla has broad experience in international multi-jurisdictional insolvency matters and has practised extensively in Ireland, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and The Netherlands.
Orla also has international finance experience from her time working as a banking and finance lawyer in London and Amsterdam, when she acted for lenders such as RBS, HBoS, ING and ABN AMRO, private equity houses including Cinven and Warburg Pincus, and top-100 multinational corporations, on a number of high-profile cross-border finance transactions.
