Energy and Resources Insights

Welcome to Energy and Resources Insights. As this lands in your in-box, we, along with others in the energy & resources sector, are following the unfolding Federal election events with bated breath to discover the future shape of the resource tax and carbon policy environment. We should be able to discuss this in next month's edition of E&R Insights.

In this month's edition, however, we find it's business as usual for the time being, with changes to the costs of conducting mining and exploration activities in WA. We'll also look at why ignoring the formalities can be a dangerous thing.

We'll also begin a new feature, in which we'll chat with one of our team about the trends in E&R.

Finally, we'll meet the latest addition to the Darwin team, David Foran.
